Expertise

Katerina is a member of the Dispute Resolution and Litigation group in Melbourne. She has acted for a range of corporate and individual clients in all Victorian courts and the Federal Court. Katerina regularly practices in commercial dispute resolution, regulatory investigations and white collar criminal law. She has also acted in large scale inquiries, such as the Royal Commission into the Management of Police Informants and the Royal Commission into the Casino Operator and Licence.

Katerina has been involved in a variety of corporate crime and regulatory matters involving the AFP, the CDPP, ASIC, the ACCC, IBAC and the LSBC.

Katerina’s areas of practice include:

  • general commercial disputes: Large scale litigation, contract law, equity and trusts, property disputes, professional negligence, injunctions
  • corporate crime and regulatory offences: Foreign bribery, IBAC investigations, Royal Commissions
  • corporations law: Directors duties, ASIC investigations
  • competition and consumer law: Misleading and deceptive conduct claims, ACCC inquiries, Consumer Credit Code claims
  • acting for beneficiaries in testator family maintenance claims.

Experience

Since being admitted to practice, Katerina has been involved in a number of high profile proceedings including:

  • acting for a former employee of Sinclair Knight Merz (now Jacobs Group (Australia)) in a current foreign bribery prosecution in NSW
  • acting in complex litigation in the Supreme Court of Victoria involving contractual claims, insolvency issues, equitable interests and priority disputes 
  • acting as a solicitor assisting the Royal Commission into the Management of Police Informants acting for the State of Victoria in the Royal Commission into the Casino Operator and License
  • acting for an employee of a company investigated by the ACCC for alleged price fixing.

Prior to joining Holding Redlich, Katerina was Senior Associate to the Honourable Justice Weinberg AO of the Victorian Court of Appeal.
